EPA Provides Information on Safe and Proper Use of Insect Repellents.
EPA recently published a new tool that provides information about how long EPA-registered repellents will work and how to use them. Using the right insect repellent and other preventive actions can discourage ticks, mosquitoes, and other biting insects from landing on you. The tool also provides information about other ways to protect yourself from biting insects as well as some of the reasons you might want to use insect repellents. EPA's search tool can help you choose the skin-applied repellent products that will give you the protection you need. The tool selects repellants based upon the insect and the amount of time you plan to be outdoors.
