Important 2012 Blackwater Duathlon Participant Information
Greetings!
Welcome to The 2012 Blackwater Duathlon, the USAT Long Course Duathlon Championship & Qualifier for the ITU Long Course Duathlon World Championship to be held on September 2, 2012, in Zofingen, Switzerland. Race Day is on June 3rd, and we've been hard at work preparing to make this a fantastic inaugural event.
The Blackwater Duathlon's two 10K run courses are flat and fast traveling along Egypt Road, and will start and finish at the Cambridge South Dorchester High School.
The bike course consists of a two loop, windy and flat 70K bike, traveling through portions of the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife such as Eagles, Egrets, and Osprey as you proceed through one of the most beautiful and revered wildlife refuges in the country. Please read the important information in this email, and remember to download the 2012 Blackwater Duathlon Athlete's Guide (located under "Key Race Info") and other resources located on the Blackwater Duathlon event webpage to address questions or concerns you may have.
If you need to speak to TriColumbia Staff on race day, please go to the TriColumbia tent located on the Cambridge South Dorchester High School parking lot. Train safely, and we look forward to seeing you on race weekend! Celebrate Life!

Please Respect The Area And Thank Our Volunteers PLEASE respect both the environment and the areas that this event travels through. Do not drop trash anywhere other than aid stations and use the portable toilets, not the neighborhoods. Help us to maintain this special wildlife refuge and race venue as "leave no trace" spaces. We encourage you to use trash receptacles and to take your trash with you when you leave in order to protect the environment.
Remember, the use of profanity or disrespect of any staff, volunteers or other officials who are there to assist you can be grounds for a USAT official to disqualify you - this includes packet pick up and the bike racking stages.
And don't forget to thank the many enthusiastic volunteers stationed throughout the race course and venue. Our volunteers are comprised of many charity and community groups as well as individuals who simply enjoy helping out. We would be unable to provide events such as this one without their capable assistance! If you would like to help out with this or any of our other events, simply visit our website and let us know.
Thank you for your cooperation!
