ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival To Benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation of The Mid-Atlantic
Greetings!
TriColumbia is pleased to announce that the 2012 ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival taking place on September 29th in Cambridge, MD will be produced to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. We are inspired by the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its mission to grant wishes to children facing life-threatening medical conditions, and are proud to offer an entire endurance festival focused on raising funds to support that mission. There will be optional fundraising opportunities for athletes to take part in, and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic will receive 100% of all donations received from participant fundraising pages, 100% of all one-time donations made at the time of registration, and 50% of all processing fees received via registration for the Bugeye Classic. As we welcome Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, we have added a brand new intermediate distance event to the festival, The Bugeye Classic, consisting of a 1.2 mile swim in protected Hambrooks Bay on the Choptank River, 25 mile flat and fast bike through portions of the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge and a 6.2 mile flat, rural run. ![140.6 Best Triahtlete Magazine](http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs014/1102880907823/img/177.jpg?a=1109378308537) In addition to The Bugeye Classic, the festival will include The USAT Mid-Atlantic Regional Ultra Distance Triathlon Championship (named a "140.6 Best" by Triathlete Magazine) , the ChesapeakeMan Aquabike, and the Skipjack 75.2 Triathlon.
The Bugeye Classic will open for registration on Monday, February 27th at 9 am; all other ChesapeakeMan events are currently open for registration. Sign up today for your favorite event and help make wishes come true! And as with all TriColumbia events, the majority of your race entry fees are tax deductible. Click HERE for more information and to register. Train safely, and we'll see YOU at the finish line! Celebrate Life!
