Race season is around the corner.  If you are still on the fence about your race calendar, why not consider signing up for the 2012 Celebrating Heroes Triathlon and/or The 2012 Columbia Triathlon if you haven't already done so?  

 

Many are unaware that TriColumbia is a non-profit 501c3; so racing with us is a win-win.  The majority of your race entry fees are tax deductible. Taking advantage of this tax deduction lowers your overall cost of participation in TriColumbia events, and at the same time, supports many worthy charitable organizations in the community.  

 

Since 1984, TriColumbia has been producing the Mid-Atlantic's premiere endurance events, and we look forward to an yet another exciting and successful season.

HeroesJoin Us At The 2012 Celebrating Heroes Triathlon on June 24th & Support Those With Disabilities                      

Celebrating Heroes Circle Logo Join us at the 2012 Celebrating Heroes Sprint Triathlon (formerly Celebration Triahtlon) on Sunday, June 24th. TriColumbia has chosen the National Rehabilitation Hospital as the beneficiary of this sprint distance triathlon, now in its third year.

TriColumbia and NRH share the belief that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances the quality of life.  NRH does just that through treatment and programming such as handcycling, quad rugby and wheelchair basketball that provide opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics.

Proceeds from this event provide support to those served by the National Rehabilitation Hospital including our Wounded Warriors and others with physical disabilities caused by spinal cord, brain injuries, stroke, arthritis, amputation, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, sports injuries and other neurological and orthopedic conditions.

With an identical course to the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, this race boasts one of the most beautiful and challenging sprints around. 

So sign up today and show your support for The National Rehabilitation Hospital and those with physical disabilities. The majority of your race entry fee is tax deductible.

Utilizing an expanded course of the Iron Girl Columbia and Celebration (currently Celebrating Heroes) triathlons, the 2012 Columbia Triathlon, now in its 29th year, provides the next racing level for sprint triathletes to tackle. This event takes place on May 20th before the heat of the summer sets in.

RunnerFondly dubbed "The Happiest Race on Earth," this Olympic distance event is one of the most popular, challenging, and longest running triathlons in the USA, and is widely acclaimed as a favorite and staple race among both amateur and pro triathletes.

Join Joan Benoit Samuelson, the Gold Medalist in the inaugural Women's Olympic Marathon, at the first Athleta Iron Girl Columbia 1/2 Marathon & 5K on April 29, 2012! Taking place in scenic Howard County, this event will start and finish in Columbia Town Center adjacent to the Columbia Mall on Little Patuxent Parkway.

The first Iron Girl event of its kind in the Mid Atlantic, this inspirational all women's event is about empowering women toward a healthy lifestyle, and celebrating your unique "grace" as you journey toward the finish line. The Frederick Running Festival Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, May 6th at 7am. ** The ChesapeakeMan Ultra Distance Triathlon has been designated as the 2012 USAT Mid Atlantic Championship and was named by Triathlete Magazine as a "Best 140.6"
