2011 ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival Packet Pickup & Bike Racking Time Has Been Extended

  Greetings!

Due to heavy traffic heading East across the Chesapeake Bridge toward the race venue, Cambridge, MD, packet pick up and bike racking time has been extended.  Athletes may pick up their packets until 9:00 PM tonight and may rack their bikes until 10:00 PM.  Bikes racked on Friday night after 8:00 PM must have the safety check done in the morning before the race at the transition area.  If you have not picked up your packet by 9:00 PM Friday night, please go to the TriColumbia Tent on Saturday morning and you will be able to pick up your packet, have your bike and helmet safety checked, and rack your bike before the race.

The festival will proceed rain or shine.  If there is lightning or thunder at the time the race is scheduled to begin, we will delay up to 30 minutes.  If there is still lightning or thunder 30 minutes past the scheduled start time, the swim portion of the event will be cancelled, and the event will become a Bike-Run.

If you need to speak to TriColumbia Staff on race day, please go to the TriColumbia Information Tent.

Celebrate Life,

Robert Vigorito, Level 2 Race Director, and The TriColumbia Team

Free TriColumbia Race Day Shuttle for Athletes

The Great Marsh Park entrance is closed to vehicular traffic on race day, and parking is extremely limited and restricted in the surrounding area.  After dropping off the appropriate gear and special needs bags, athletes are strongly encouraged to use the free shuttle service from Cambridge South Dorchester High School, where there is ample parking, to the race venue for the first leg, Great Marsh Park. The Shuttle will run from 4:30 am - 7:50 am for transport to the park. (Note that there is no shuttle service from Great Marsh Park back to the Cambridge South Dorchester High School. Plan to arrive EARLY as there MAY BE early morning traffic delays.

Friends or family should drive to Great Marsh Park instead of using the shuttle as there is no shuttle service back to Cambridge South Dorchester High School.  There will be NO RACE DAY PARKING in Great Marsh Park, but there is limited parking available ONLY on the following streets around Great Marsh Park:

Belvedere Ave.
Glenburn Ave.
Somerset Ave.
Talbot Ave.
