Thank You For Racing The 2011 Athleta Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon
Greetings!
Thank you for racing with TriColumbia in the 2011 Athleta Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon. Your journey began many months ago, when you took the challenge to train to accomplish something great, and culminated in crossing the finish line as a proud and strong Iron Girl! The unexpected rain that delayed the start couldn't dampen your enthusiasm, and yielded to sunshine, providing a spectacular morning. We hope you enjoyed the race, and that you succeeded in reaching your personal goals; creating memories that will last a lifetime. Congratulations to the 2011 Champion, Kristin Andrews, local professional triathlete from Chevy Chase, to all our award winners, and to every Iron Girl who crossed the finish line! If you qualified for an award, but were unable to stay for the awards ceremony, and would like to have it shipped to you, kindly send us a check in the amount of $10.00 (P&H). Make the check payable to The Columbia Triathlon Association, Inc., and send it along with your request to 9130-G Red Branch Road, Columbia, MD 21045. Awards cannot not be mailed until a check is received. Please allow up to 4 weeks to receive the award. Requests for awards received after November 1, 2011 will not be fulfilled. Click here for results.
In racing with TriColumbia, you have not only shown your commitment to life-long health and fitness, but you have helped us further our mission of improving the lives of individuals in need by supporting local and regional charities.

TriColumbia Protects The Environment
As many of you know, we have banned the use of plastic bags of any kind on bikes stored overnight in the transition areas. The bags fall off, blow off, or are simply left behind. If you attempt to use plastic bags, staff will remove them. TriColumbia and Endurafit are pleased to announce a brand new product, The Rack Jacket, an alternative to using trash bags to cover your bike. We fully embrace the "leave no trace behind" concept, and strive to eliminate litter produced at our events. You may also use an old swim cap to over your bike seat if you like. The Rack Jacket is the essential item for those of you who wish to protect your bike from the elements.
Key Benefits of the Rack Jacket are:
- Designed specifically for triathlon bike racks
- Made of highly water resistant ripstop nylon
- Environmentally friendly
- Reusable
- Cord locks and Velcro straps keep it securely fastened in windy conditions
- Reasonably priced
- Available in a variety of colors
- Team orders are welcome
