The following is an important message brought to you from The Columbia Triathlon Association on behalf of Bike Advocates of Howard County and Howard County Recreation and Parks regarding
Road Biking 101 Class THIS SUNDAY ONLY - MAY 16, 2010.There is a Road Biking 101 class scheduled for this weekend (Sunday, May 16) from 8:30-12:30. In addition to learning about bikes in general and safe bike handling/riding, the course will cover basic maintenance including how to change a flat! The course includes some classroom time as well as literally on-the-road education as you roll around Gateway Drive.
This is a great opportunity for people new to cycling or those who have been riding for some time but would like additional instruction. All instructors are local cyclists and there will be mechanical support from local bike shops as well.
You must register through Howard County Recreation and Parks
by 4:30pm on Friday - there will be no on-site registration on Sunday.
From the
main registration site, go to Page 3 under Biking Classes with BAHC and MORE - click on Road Biking 101 May 16th.
Note: It has Adult and Youth listed separately but we will accept any age and teach together.)
