Greetings!
Thank you and congratulations on participating in the TriColumbia LIFEfest this weekend. The rain didn't seem to deter anyone, and we had a safe, fun event. If you want to expand your race experience into a triathlon, we have a brand new sprint triathlon in June, the Celebration Tri. Its a .6 mile swim in Centennial Lake, a 17.5 mile bike through the rolling hills around western Howard County, and a 3.1 mile run through Centennial Park. It follows the same course as the world-renowned AFLAC Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, and is designed for beginner triathletes. Throughout the 2010 season we have 8 more fantastic endurance events (two yet-to-be-announced) that prove challenging to athletes of all experience levels. Check tricolumbia.org for a full event schedule. Thanks again for your support of CTA and Blossoms of Hope, The Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource and Image Center, and the Ulman Cancer Fund For Young Adults. TriColumiba LIFEfest was part of the Blossoms of Hope's Cherrybration Days, a month long celebration raising cancer awareness and funds. With more than 1400 pink Kwanzan Cherry Trees throughout Howard County, our community welcomes spring with a renewed sense of hope, health, and happiness.
This event benefits Blossoms of Hope, the Claudia Mayer Cancer Research and Image Center, and the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
We would like to give a final thanks to our Sponsors: Subaru, Union Jacks, RoadRunner Sports, X-terra, Hammer Nutrition, David's Natural Market, Howard County Tourism and Promotions, Princeton Sports, Gatorade, Howard County General Hospital, Talking Leaves Design, and REI.
We would also like to thank the Howard County Police Department, the Police Explorers, Howard County General Hospital, General Growth Properties, The Maryland Professional Sports Massage Team, and the Women's Giving Circle for their assistance and expertise this morning.
Our Aid Stations are staffed by some of our closest friends and supporters: Howard County Library, Howard County General Hospital, the Claudia Mayer Cancer Research and Image Center, AllCare of Maryland, the Mid-Maryland Tri Club, Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, Folly Quarter Middle School, Mt Airy Bikes, Foster's Country Store, and the Friendly Inn.
Special thanks to Alan Davis and Mike Stone from Princeton Sports for providing the SAG vehicle and assistance to our cyclists throughout all three courses.
