Hurray! Together, we stepped way out in front of our agency fundraising goal of $20,000 in the 29th Annual Walk Against Hunger by raising an amazing $24,500! We can all stand proud knowing that our "labors of love" will help to end hunger every day for neighbors who turn to the Friendship Center for food, shelter, friendship and hope.
A big THANKS to our 88 registered walkers, an equal number of folks who came out to "wear our colors" on Walk Day, and literally hundreds of donors who supported walkers. A big thank you once again to First Church of Christ in New Britain for your "Sneaker Sunday."
To Foodshare of Greater Hartford, our partner and the orchestrator of the Walk each year, please "take a bow" for having met your community-wide goal of $600,000 in this year's Walk. We are delighted to have helped you to meet that marker, because the whole Hartford region benefits from your year-round anti-hunger work.

It was created by Dufhane Hyde, our intern from Sanford-Brown College. Excellent job, Dufhane! You may also visit our website to see our Walk Team Honor Roll.
Hallelujah!
