    Happy Holidays From Your Friends
at the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation!!!

Greetings!

We are so grateful for all your support this past year; 2010 was one of our best years for meeting fundraising goals and serving our patients. We're also extremely humbled and amazed to be coming up on 10 years of helping patients, their families and researchers.

The holidays and new year are right around the corner and are a great time to show friends and family how much you care. It is also the time to think of our A.L.S. "Family" members...

We hope you will please make a donation now to improve the quality of life for a patient and their family in 2011.

In 2010 with help from generous donors like you, we were able to:

  • Send $4,000 in gift cards to families to help holiday expenses
  • Award eight college scholarships
  • Help with roof repairs and rent payments
  • Fund two family reunions
  • Provide respite care for five patients
  • Plan a day of fun and relaxation for three patients and their caregivers

Our proudest accomplishment in 2010 was the addition of Patient Services Coordinater Debbie Bell. Debbie is a warm and caring liason for the Foundation and specializes in home visits and ensuring our patients get the attention and help that they need. She is a part-time employee at the moment, however, we are seeking grants to have her working full time meeting and advocating for patients in 2011. Debbie's cell number is 781-217-5480 and patients and their families are encouraged to call her anytime!

Our warmest thanks to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts  this past year, and best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season!

.

Sincerely,

Mary Ann (Sciaba) Singersen
President/Co-Founder
The A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc.
