Celebrating a decade of success
Greetings!
Peace Drum Project Banner
As we embark our Tenth Anniversary of The Peace Drum Project we would like to invite you to help us celebrate and continue our success in breaking stereotypes and helping at-risk youth transform their lives.  Please consider contributing.  Your gift entitles you to a chance to own a Peace Drum featuring your unique memories and you will receive a special invitation to join us at our Tenth Anniversary Awards next June if you contribute by November 15.
Face-to-Face Connections Matter
Drum Presentation
In a culture where online networking has attracted millions, a face-to-face connection matters. It is authentic and sometimes life-changing.  The Peace Drum Project is about two generations sharing stories and building understanding which often results in some unlikely friendships. Creating a Peace Drum is the highlight of the project.  Each small drum tells a person's story through photos and personal mementos.   Please join us in our effort to continue and expand by giving $10, $100, $1,000 or whatever you can afford.
The Results Speak Volumes
Drum
Project activities satisfy teenagers' need for creative exploration and open doors for self-expression and increased motivation to learn. No wonder that 97% of Peace Drum participants graduate from Boston public high schools compared to the Boston public school graduation rate of less than 70%. And more than 85% of our graduates go on to college!

In today's world teenagers, especially youth of color, are often feared and misunderstood, our program inspires young people to express themselves in constructive ways and helps them play a positive role in their communities.  What makes this arts-based after school program different from all others in Boston is that it is a partnership between teens and elders.

Your help will allow us to continue forging these special relationships.

"My son is so shy, it's very hard for him to make new friends. I was afraid when he joined the Peace Drum Project that he might drop out, but it's been so good for him. He's growing in confidence everyday."
