THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Red Coat Ride Out |
|

On November 1, THE PLAYERS Championship Red Coat Ride Out included a visit to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, to present a pin flag, representing a $7500 grant to The Big Fun Foundation, and to deliver Big Fun Boxes to patients there.
As a tradition, the Red Coats (Past Tournament Chairmen) kick-off PLAYERS Giving Back Month by traveling around Jacksonville to meet with the organizations they chose to award a grant to each year. Since the purpose of The Big Fun Foundation is to donate Big Fun Boxes to patients, president and co-founder, Jo Anne McKinney, suggested they join her and a few board members at Wolfson to meet patients and give each one a Big Fun Box. The group was divided into two teams to make these deliveries. It was a "feel good" event and a very positive impression made on behalf of the Foundation.

Big Fun Bucks Campaign Launch |
|
Beginning now through the end of 2011, our goal is to raise $10K in Big Fun Bucks! To participate, take a look at the serial number on your $1 bills--if you see a B (for "Big") OR an F (for "Fun"), you have a "Big Fun Buck"! Please drop your Big Fun Bucks in an envelope (denominations above $1 gladly accepted) to the Foundation's address located at the top of the newsletter. Virtual bucks are also accepted at thebigfunbox.org via the green "donate" tab on the right side of the page.
Thanks for your support--let's see what we can create--a few bucks at a time--between now and the end of 2011 and just imagine how quickly our Big Fun Bucks can add up to reach our goal! A running total will be posted on thebigfunbox.org.

| THE BIG FUN BUZZ UPDATE |
Kathy Coates, Grant Prather's aunt, was the developer and author of The Big Fun Buzz. Kathy passed away suddenly on June 2. For that reason, The Buzz has been on hold. Mandy Nesz, a member of our board of directors, is the new face behind The Buzz. With this November issue, you will again, be receiving it each month. Thank you Kathy--you are missed. Thank you Mandy for your commitment.
