3 things you can do...

Laughter, humor and fun provide relief from stress, pain and loss. Humor uses both sides of the brain; the left actually figures out a joke while the right determines whether or not it is funny. Just a few minutes of distraction can make you feel better. That's the objective of The Big Fun Box. Teaching children and their parents, family and friends how to make their own Big Fun out of the activities inside is intended to give them a respite from the stress of each day. Grant and I found this to be true--year after year.

To date, 6140 hospitalized children have received Big Fun Boxes, but we need your help to continue to spread this message. There are three things you can do:

     1. Forward The Big Fun Buzz to your friends
     2. Make any size donation to The Big Fun Foundation
     3. Spread the news about sending us Big Fun Bucks, those dollar
bills with "B" or "F" in the serial number

Oops! 4 things.

     4. Find something humorous in your life every day.

"It was very nice of you to give me the box. You're

very nice." Girl, 9

Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Cincinnati, OH

"It makes the hospital more fun and cooler. Now I have something to look forward to when I go to the hospital!" Girl, 12

Texas Children's Hospital, Houston, TX

"Your donation will bring so many smiles and distract so many children in our pediatric unit. It is wonderful to know that there are people in the community who care about the special needs of hospitalized children."

Chris Evert Children's Hospital
Broward General Medical Center
Fort Lauderdale, FL

IMAGINE
Imagine you're 7 years old and this is the third time you've been in the hospital this year. You didn't ask to have a disease, but you do and you're in the hospital a lot.

Your family is just you and your dad. And he has to work as much as possible to get overtime pay. He wants to be at the hospital with you as much as you want him there. Of course, your friends are all in school, so you're alone most days--all day.

The hospital has toys for you to play with and things to help you pass the time, but you want something of your own. Something you can play with as long as you want.

And then you receive a Big Fun Box!
