Greetings!
Summer has arrived a little early, bringing rain, sun, heat, and all the good things that make our gardens grow! Hopefully that means we will all have a bumper crop of delicious produce this year. When you come in from your gardening, don't forget to relax with your knitting in the evening! There are so many simple projects to choose from. If you are having trouble thinking of a simple no-brainer project, or a small entertaining project that is perfect for summer travel, come see Nancy for ideas! This Saturday, June 4th between 1pm and 2pm we will be announcing the winners of our Easter Shawl/Wrap Contest at a little get together in the shop. Come and sit, knit, and shop while you enjoy some special door prizes (by drawing and for attendee only). For those of you who can't make it to the shop, we will announce the two winners on Nancy's blog and Facebook by the end of the day Saturday. Have you ever wanted to learn how to crochet? Or maybe you need a refresher after so many years? This month we can finally invite you to take a Beginning Crochet Class here at the shop! Be sure to check the June Classes section for all the important information. Well, it's time to move on to the rest of the news, but first here are a few things to look for. We included the entire section outlining our current rewards program as a reminder that it continues through June. AND be sure to check out the plans for our June "FNKC". Even if you've never come to one before, you won't want to miss out on this one! We hope you enjoy the rest of the issue. |

Holiday to Holiday It's a Path to Knits & Purls
Memorial Day just kicked off the "Summer Sweater Contest" ... we have 15 people registered so far, but there is still time to enter. If you missed the details, just visit our website or Nancy's blog. The following is the path we'll follow on this journey and it will be here each month to remind you of where we are and where we're going: We've finished the first two Holidays with our Monster Birthday Bash, and the Easter Shawl Contest. We have our Summer Sweater Contest in progress for Memorial Day, and down the hill is the Fourth of July, through the corn field and out on main street is the State Fair Parade and then we'll finish this up on the other side of the lake with Labor Day (we said it would be a path). Each of these celebrations will kick off another contest in the series and each will have a different theme. But you're gonna have to stay connected, because you won't get the details for these contests until the week prior to the Holiday date. We're so excited to have you over for the Holidays ... don't forget to keep checking the map :)

Local Yarn Store (LYS)
R E W A R D S
We want to thank you for supporting your Local Yarn Store (LYS) ... in fact we want to let you know just how grateful we are to you for supporting your LYS, regardless of who or where that LYS is, that we are offering you R E W A R D S. Why? Because supporting your LYS is the single most important thing you can do to help grow the needle arts community and industry as a whole. Why is this important? Because the greater support of the industry by the community, the greater the incentive for designers to continue the development of really amazing yarns and patterns. So here are our rewards for you. Just a reminder June is the last month for rewards. Every time you visit Knitted Together and bring your receipt from another LYS with you, we'll honor it by giving you 10% off your yarn purchase. Why? Because we want you to know that we support you by supporting the needle arts industry as a whole. There are a few rules, so be sure to keep reading and check-out how to cash in on the savings. Loyalty Has It's R E W A R D S Yes it sure does. Bring in your receipts from Knitted Together and receive an even greater discount off your yarn purchase. That's right, if you're a loyal customer of Knitted Together we want to give you an even sweeter deal. So, again ... PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING RULES to see how our discounts apply. - When you bring in a receipt from any local yarn store (LYS), you will receive 10% off your yarn purchase at that time. Your receipt must be the original invoice (no photo copies). We won't keep it, but we will put a pink highlighter mark on it, as it can only be used once.
- Your receipt must be dated in the same month and year as the date of your purchase (ie: to use your receipt from a LYS to get a discount at Knitted Together in April 2011, your receipt must be dated in April 2011 ... same applies for May and June.).
- Your receipt must be from an in-store purchase and likewise can only be used in our store (no on-line purchases for this promotion).
- Reward discounts will only be applied to YARN purchases.

- When you bring one or any number of receipts from Knitted Together totaling $75 or more (pre-tax amount) in one month we'll give you a 20% discount on your yarn purchase at that time. Your receipt must be the original invoice (no photo copies). We won't keep it, but we will put a pink highlighter mark on it, as it can only be used once.
- Your receipts must be dated in the same month and year and only receipts for April, May and June apply. So, you must spend at least $75 dollars in a one month period to get your discount, however you can receive a discount every time you spend $75 on a new receipt or combination of receipts.

Images ... having trouble viewing?
We would like to make
a few comments on images. If you are having trouble viewing this
e-mail or if it doesn't look great ... you may need to add us to your
safe sender list ... which will allow the images to download
automatically. Also, with the design and implementation of our
web-store, the e-mail format and Nancy's blog, we have found that
Mozilla Firefox web-browser seems to provide the most consistent
viewing experience. We tried to make everything compatible with as
many browsers as possible ... but somethings will never be perfect ...
these are just our suggestions.
We have also added a link at the top of the page to view our Web-Letter in a web browser. This could be extremely helpful if you are like Tim and have Microsoft Outlook 2007 for your e-mail program.
