July News
Greetings!

We sure hope you are enjoying a beautiful summer so far ... all the rain has sure made the green spaces truly lush.  As things start to heat up outside, we are preparing for those of you who are ready to come back indoors and "pick-up" some stitches.

We would like to take a moment to thank Jean for sharing the "Baby Surprise Jacket" class with us once again this past June ... we are thankful for her and the great job she does with her classes.  Be sure to check out Jean's July class "Greta the Captivating Cat" class.

Next we are REALLY excited to introduce Kim Finley to our staff of instructors here at Knitted Together.  Kim brings a real freshness and creative style to the classes she will be teaching here.  We could probably write a book on her bios ... instead read the short version here to follow.

Kim Finley is an accomplished knitter with a strong interest in the history, culture, and fine art of knitting. Before moving to Des Moines in 2004, she was an active member of Toronto's Downtown Knit Collective for several years. Her teaching experience includes all levels of both child and adult classes covering techniques such as lace, fair isle, cables, and domino knitting, as well as workshops on mitten, glove, sock construction, felting, and how to decipher even the most difficult knitting patterns.

Be sure to check out all of Jean, Kim, Rose and Nancy's classes in the section to follow.

Got a friend or family member that is interested in knitting ... tell them about our great beginning knitting class with Nancy.

*NOTE:  Please call or stop by the store to register for classes as we do not take registration via e-mail and our website is not wired to handle this task.
"TFNKC" on the 23rd ... save the date!
We are having a fiesta on the 23rd for the "FNKC".  "So get up from your siesta and come and join our fiesta" ... as Nancy and Megan have planned a celebration including a pinata and all the trimmings. BTW ... Megan says, "don't forget your sombrero".  Stay tuned for an invitation with all the details, delivered to your email box the week of the 18th.
Images ... having trouble viewing?
We would like to make a few comments on images.  If you are having trouble viewing this e-mail or if it doesn't look great ... you may need to add us to your safe sender list ... which will allow the images to download automatically.  Also, with the design and implementation of our web-store, the e-mail format and Nancy's blog, we have found that Mozilla Firefox web-browser seems to provide the most consistent viewing experience.  We tried to make everything compatible with as many browsers as possible ... but somethings will never be perfect ... these are just our suggestions.

We have also added a link at the top of the page to view our Web-Letter in a web browser.  This could be extremely helpful if you are like Tim and have Microsoft Outlook 2007 for your e-mail program.
Rest, Relax & Renew ... and Fiesta!
Staycation; a made-up word used to provoke guilt in people for not going on lavish trips.  Vacation; a period of rest from work or study.  That is exactly what Nancy experienced last week as she took her first vacation since we opened our store over four years ago.  She rested much and knitted more ... and spent a great deal of time with Katie (not something you get to do enough of with your teenager).  Now she is fresh and ready to serve with a bright smile on her face ... oh and did I say she is ready for a FIESTA!  See you soon.

God bless,
from all of us at Knitted Together
