K-2Tog with Nancy Wyatt!
Greetings!

We would like to take a moment and apologize for our tardiness with the May Newsletter ... SORRY!  Now with a sigh of relief with that burden lifted, we would like to invite you to be sure to check out the K-Tog's and classes for May ... there is still time to join the K-Tog's as both are two month projects and there are still spaces available in the classes being offered this month.

Our second note of apology comes regarding the "Kits" that were sold at our last "FNKC".  We made a mathematical error and shorted the amount of Cha-Cha yarn included in the kit.  So if you purchased one of these kits ... please stop by the store next week and Nancy will have a supplement for you.  If you already started the scarf and realized you were going to be short ... now you can breathe a sigh of relief.

For our feature this month we are highlighting Nancy's blog "K-2Tog with Nancy Wyatt".  If you're not a follower or frequent visitor ... well, you are really missing out!  Here's what's the people who are followers of Nancy's blog are getting that you're not:
  1. First, there is now a new section on the left side bar called "FREE PATTERNS".  Yep, that's right, FREE patterns and that list will continue to grow.
  2. The winner of Nancy's FREE yarn giveaway drawing has been announced ... are you signed up as a follower?  If you are, then your name would be entered in the drawing ... if you're not, then join now!  It's easy, just click the FOLLOW button and either use your existing account or create one ... once you are a follower you will be automatically entered when Nancy has another drawing.
  3. Another new video lesson with Carol has just posted today.  In case you're not aware ... the Friday afternoon K-Tog, the "Wrap Group", is also a virtual K-Tog that you can follow on Nancy's blog.  You not only get great projects and great instruction ... including VIDEO lessons ... you also get to be a part of a great community of knitters that follow the action on-line.
  4. Featured products from our store ... yes you can purchase these on-line at our web-store, knittedtogether.com.
  5. Recipes ... lots of recipes ... really good recipes.
  6. And of course there is always plenty of Nancy's light-hearted posts sharing about her own bios, what she's knitting and including her recent notes about the Thursday evening K-Tog project ... "Truly Tasha's Shawl".
Come on now ... if you're not getting all of this and much more ... then you just aren't tuning in.  So take some time right now and get yourself connected ... you'll be glad you did!
Indulge Yourself in Our May K-Tog's!
Both our Thursday evening and Friday afternoon "knit together's" for May are sure to tantalize your fingers and needles.  Both K-Tog's are scheduled for two months ... so you'll have plenty of time to finish as you begin in May and complete the project in June.

  • Thursday Evening K-Tog: Join Nancy Wyatt as everyone works together on the "Truly Tasha's Shawl" inspired by Nancy Bush.  Visit our Events Page for more info.
  • Friday Afternoon/Virtual K-Tog:  Join Carol as she introduces us to the "Feather & Fan" wrap.  Visit our Events Page for more info.
*NOTE:  As we mentioned earlier, you can still join either or both of these events.
May Classes ... sign-up now!
We always recommend visiting our Class List page frequently to see what's new on our schedule.  This month we are repeating a couple of favorite classes at different time slots, to accommodate some of you who couldn't make it last time we offered.

  • FINGERLESS MITTS ON THE MAGIC LOOP:  Class is offered Tuesday, May 11th, 18th, and 25th (class is completed in 3 sessions, no make-ups), time is 6pm to 7:30pm.
  • "FIRST" SOCK CLASS:  Class is offered Thursday, May 13th and 20th, time is 6pm to 8pm.
*NOTE:  Please call or stop by the store to register for classes as we do not take registration via e-mail and our website is not wired to handle this task.
Images ... having trouble viewing?
We would like to make a few comments on images.  If you are having trouble viewing this e-mail or if it doesn't look great ... you may need to add us to your safe sender list ... which will allow the images to download automatically.  Also, with the design and implementation of our web-store, the e-mail format and Nancy's blog, we have found that Mozilla Firefox web-browser seems to provide the most consistent viewing experience.  We tried to make everything compatible with as many browsers as possible ... but somethings will never be perfect ... these are just our suggestions.

We have also added a link at the top of the page to view our Web-Letter in a web browser.  This could be extremely helpful if you are like Tim and have Microsoft Outlook 2007 for your e-mail program.
Enjoying Community is Easy
It's more than a store ... that's why we named this place knitted together.  This is where lives are truly knitted together.  There are plenty of drawing cards ... we've got luscious yarns, exciting classes and fun events ... we even have different venues that make it easy to connect, from our inviting store to our virtual store to Nancy's blog.  But make no mistake in understanding ... it's all about connecting us one to another ... just like the many stitches it takes to create a beautiful garment, if there is one dropped stitch it looks a little funny.  So stay connected with us and we'll all look much more complete ... besides no one wants to be the "dropped stitch".  Seriously, this is where you were meant to be ... where you're known and where you are loved.

God bless,
from all of us at Knitted Together
