Images ... our advice for viewing
"Souper" Bowl Party!
Greetings!

THANK YOU!  The response to our recent survey was incredible and we greatly appreciate your help, the time you spent, and the honesty of your answers.  There were many positive comments and suggestions ... and we know that even the "harder to swallow" comments were all made out of love (or you wouldn't have taken the time to write them) and we will become better at what we do, 'serving you', as we begin to learn from all the feedback you have offered us.
The "Souper" Bowl Party!
We told you about it in our last Web-Letter ... now here's the details.  Every year we have a pre-super bowl party here at Knitted Together.  Whether you love football or not ... everyone loves to gather at the store, have some great snacks, do a little knitting, do a little shopping and have some laughs.

This year we are joining forces with Lutheran Church of Hope and some other area Counsels to collect food for the local food pantries.  This is an opportunity for all of us to give back right here at home in our own communities.  The past year has been financially difficult for all of us ... so it's not hard to imagine even how much more difficult it has been for those at poverty level.  As we think about our struggles, we were given this awesome word that takes the focus off of ourselves and transfers our thoughts and generosity onto others ... "if you have a need, plant a seed."  You could also think of it like "pay it forward."  It's just the way we were created ... if everyone were to worry more about taking care of others, then we'd have no worries.  So let's gather some stock piles together and this year when "Fat Tuesday" rolls around, it'll have a whole new meaning to many who may have gone hungry.

Here's the details:  Store Hours for Sunday February 7th are Noon to 4pm; we will provide snacks (you're welcome to bring some too if you like); Nancy will come up with some interesting door prizes as always; Tim has been known to throw in a Knitted Together gift card and we heard Megan talking about making something really good to eat!  From you we ask that you would bring a sack of non-perishable food items, preferably from the following list.  PLEASE, PLEASE check all expiration dates on can goods and all donated items as anything with an expired date will have to be thrown away.

Suggested Donation List:
Baby Formula and Cereal
Canned Fruits or Vegetables
Canned Meals (stews, hash, chili, ravioli)
Canned Meats or Fish
Canned Spaghetti Sauce (no glass jars)
Canned Soups (including ready-to-eat)
Cold/Hot Cereal
Dry Pasta
Hamburger or Tuna Helpers
Juice (no glass jars)
Peanut Butter
Plain White Rice
Saltines

Images ... having trouble viewing?
We would like to make a few comments on images.  If you are having trouble viewing this e-mail or if it doesn't look great ... you may need to add us to your safe sender list ... which will allow the images to download automatically.  Also, with the design and implementation of our web-store, the e-mail format and Nancy's blog, we have found that Mozilla Firefox web-browser seems to provide the most consistent viewing experience.  We tried to make everything compatible with as many browsers as possible ... but somethings will never be perfect ... these are just our suggestions.

We have also added a link at the top of the page to view our Web-Letter in a web browser.  This could be extremely helpful if you are like Tim and have Microsoft Outlook 2007 for your e-mail program.
Together we have fun & make a difference!
Every year we have a good time coming together and having a party ... and this year will be no exception!  But, this year there will be a change in all of us as we come together to make a change in the community around us.  Knitters have always done their part to clothe the poor ... now let's gather together and feed the hungry!

God bless,
from all of us at Knitted Together
