As we mentioned earlier, our focus in this months Newsletter is truly inspiring yarns and pattern books! The hardest part is where to start.
We have new yarns from Rowan, including Big Wool and Lima as well as new colors in other lines like Colourscape. British Sheep Breeds which is an addition to our Purelife line is sure to fascinate you with it's natural undyed colors. British Sheep Breeds is a blend of three breeds of sheep, all intrigueing animals, one for example is Jacob. Jacob sheep are adorned with two, four and even six horns and are believed to originate from Mesopotamia in Biblical times and produce blended shades of brown and creamy white.
Sirdar's Baby Bamboo is back with a switch from soft pastel shades to bolder and more intense color. Also from Knitting Fever we have new yarns and new colors from Sublime and Ella Rae that are so beautiful you'll have to see them. Plus one of our favorites (if you can have a favorite with all these choices) is Araucania, of which we added three new lines, including Rehue, an amazing baby alpaca blend in stunning colors.
So in this edition we have chosen to showcase four of the many new yarns. By clicking the photo you'll be directed to our Web-Store where you'll find more specific information, color options and how to buy. We'll follow this list up in a few weeks as we are able to add more of our new inventory to the Web-Store.
Rowan's Lima is a blend of baby alpaca, merino wool and nylon. Lima comes in 4 luscious colors.
Rowan's Colourscape by Kaffe Fassett is a 100% lambswool, that continues to grow in popularity. Not new to our store ... there are many new colors for fall.

We added
Big Wool from
Rowan this fall season and it is already a hit. Some people couldn't wait for it to land on the shelf. Patti is also using it in upcoming knit togethers. What an awesome 100% merino wool in a super bulky weight.
Cocoon from
Rowan is a really soft merino wool and kid mohair blend. This is a great yarn that got even better this fall with the addition of some beautiful colors beyond the existing neutrals (pictured here). Remember that you can click on the image to see all the colors available.
Another great new addition to Knitted Together is Megan Engle. We mentioned her on the website on the
Who We Are page. Megan has not only done an amazing job helping us to build our Web-Store, she has really become a part of our family. Some of you have had a chance to meet Megan, although she has spent most of the summer in the office. We hope that many more of you get to spend time with her as we have, during the months to come. One of the reasons we mention Megan here is that she comes to us with a degree in fashion design, which is where she learned to knit. It is Megan's keen eye for color and style , mixed with a true sense of fashion that make her such a great fit and asset on our team.
As noted earlier, this seasons fabulous yarns come with brilliant pattern support. There are stacks of new pattern books that will inspire you to knit our new yarns, but none more exciting than the Rowan magazines that support the yarns showcased here today. Megan sat in awe as she studied the photos of all the projects, wondering which one she would start first. "These are not just nice patterns ... they're brilliant, amazing ... they make you want to knit really bad and if you don't knit, they make you want to learn." Just a few of Megan's comments. One other comment she made that gave us a laugh was this, "I saw a couple of gals practically drooling as they looked at the Rowan magazines ... how are we going to keep these in stock?"
