Newsletter
Since our really big news this month is the opening of our new web-store ... this section of our web-letter looks to be somewhat brief. Recently Creative Corner (a.k.a. the Pink House) closed after serving the knitting community for many years in Des Moines, Iowa. They were an institution for many years and Nancy shopped there for her knitting needs long before we opened. We would like to wish Lois well in her retirement. We would also like to bridge the gap for many of Creative Corners loyal customers and let everyone know that we wish to make them feel comfortable here in our store as they look for support with their new projects. We are pleased to have already been able to serve many and hope to meet many more in the future. In the past we have included some of our favorite recipes in our newsletters. We have decided that since this was such a hit, that as we continue, you will now be able to find the "favorite recipes" in Nancy's blog. This will also make a great place for us to archive them and really easy for you to find them. So click the link to K2tog with Nancy Wyatt to find this months recipe ... it's Tim's harvest chopped veggie salad with grilled chicken ... yummy and healthy. While your there here's some other great reasons to follow Nancy's blog: find out more about Nancy, hear what shes got on the needles, see some of her favorite yarns, post and read comments, get great tips and advise from Nancy and guest bloggers, get special discount codes only published on the blog and the list goes on. We know you'll want to be there. Keep checking your e-mail box for next months web-mail with September 2009 Newsletter ... it's just around the corner.

August Featured Yarns
This month we have chosen to call your attention to TyDy yarn by Knit One Crochet Too. We have carried the TyDy in cotton and sock for sometime now and have recently added the 100% wool version. If you like the supple color ways of TyDy, and it appears as though many of you did, then you're going to love the TyDy wool. The wool version is machine washable on gentle cycle and very soft. This yarn will be a great addition to the TyDy family and makes a great garment that you'll love to wear (not recommended for felting). Try some soon we know you'll love it. Images ... having trouble viewing?
We would like to make
a few comments on images. If you are having trouble viewing this
e-mail or if it doesn't look great ... you may need to add us to your
safe sender list ... which will allow the images to download
automatically. Also, with the design and implementation of our
web-store, the e-mail format and Nancy's blog, we have found that
Mozilla Firefox web-browser seems to provide the most consistent
viewing experience. We tried to make everything compatible with as
many browsers as possible ... but somethings will never be perfect ...
these are just our suggestions. |
