Greetings!
I'm sure by now you realize that tickets are on sale for the 2012-13 "Passport to Entertainment" series at the High Point Theatre. Perhaps what you do not know is that we have a variety of packages and sponsor levels available for our supporters that are new this year. Our Acoustic package features Janis Ian & Tom Paxton, Nanci Griffith and Danu. Comedy package is Nunset Blvd., Water Coolers and Jeannie Robertson. Jazz offerings are Birdland Big Band, 90 Miles Project, and Kevin Eubanks & Stanley Jordan. Family package features Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, Magician Sammy Cortino, NCSF's A Christmas Carol, and HP Community Theatre's production of Annie. Of course you can purchase tickets individually or by the entire season. If you are so inclined as to make a donation to the HPT, you may do so in one of five categories: Angel $1000+, Curtain Raiser $750, Grand Patron $500, Patron $250 and Footlighter $100. These donations/sponsorships go toward artist recruitment and expenses, and to help make the performance experience for our audiences exceptional. As you make your way through the summer months, know that the staff of your High Point Theatre are doing all they can to make the theatre better, and your visit special. Thank you for your support, and I'll see you at the theatre. Sincerely, David Briggs, Director |

Cynatha Carroll Named High Point Theatre Volunteer of the Year
The individual chosen to be this year's High Point Theatre Volunteer of the Year, Cynatha Carroll, meets and exceeds all of the standards set by the volunteer program. She ushers regularly, is always in a good mood, and has a warm and inviting personality. A supporter of The Friends of the Theatre and a member of their Board, she has served in every assignment possible - a door usher, house usher/security person, ticket scanner, and concessions. She has worked in the balcony, worked school fest shows, and has helped with seating handicapped patrons. A well-rounded individual, she has many other activities that keep her busy in the community as well, including numerous church activities and ballroom dancing.
