Legendary Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone Coming to High Point March 19
Greetings!

Greetings all!  I cannot believe it is 2011 already - and what a great start to the year.  Those of you who attended the Deodato concert on January 29th will know what I'm talking about. The Eumir Deodato quartet presented one of the best performances I've ever seen - anywhere! It was a magical evening and those who attended experienced an evening of talented musicians, creative music and showmanship!  I've already received several requests to bring him back for the 2011-2012 season - if you missed the concert this year, don't miss his next concert at the High Point Theatre!

As is usual, I talked to several audience members at the Deodato concert. My main purpose was to enquire of them how they had heard of this fantastic musician. I was shocked - and gratified - at the responses I received.  There were 2 main responses. One was that they had never heard of Deodato until they read about him in our e-newsletter; they then researched the internet and decided to attend the concert (gratification #1 - people read our newsletter!)  The second response was that they enjoyed the High Point Theatre series because they had grown accustomed to enjoying quality entertainment (gratification #2 - we achieved our goal - quality!)

Sadly, in talking to audience members, I receive a consistent response, which is not so gratifying. "Why are there not more people attending the concerts presented by the High Point Theatre?" I wish I had the answer....but this one stumps me. So, I've decided to ask you for assistance. This is how: I need you to spread the word about our concerts and how much you enjoy them;  tell four people you know about the quality of performances you enjoy; use social media (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc) to inform your acquaintances; consider buying gift certificates for your friends to our concerts. As, always, please let me know if you have other suggestions to help increase attendance.........

In closing, a reminder that I am now in the process of booking the 2011-2012 season; if you haven't already done so, please forward me your ideas on artists you would like to see presented here. Thanks to all of you for your support and I look forward to seeing you at your theatre soon.
