This inaugural issue of TrendNotes underscores the significance of preventing and managing childhood tooth decay-why it is imperative, what we know works, and why policymakers might want to realign policies and programs to be more consistent with this goal.

It is our hope that this document focuses policymaker's attention on trends, opportunities and options to improve oral health for all children at low cost through the best use of prevention, disease management, care coordination and maximized resources.

We hope that you find TrendNotes helpful, and that you will take time to offer feedback by taking our quick survey at this link.

Sincerely,

Meg Booth
