Orchestra Kremlin is one of the world's best. Highlighting their performance in Laxson will be Shostakovich's dark and tragic "Chamber Symphony, Op. 110" followed by the lighter "Serenade in E minor" by Edward Elgar, Bach's "Contrapunctus No. 1" from the Art of the Fugue, and the  carefree "Serenade for Strings, Op. 22" by Dvorak. 

In this dynamic and powerful performance, athletic bodies and contemporary costumes meet explosive Taiko drumming and innovative choreography in a show that is full of extraordinary precision, energy, and stamina. Filled with music, colorful costumes, razor-sharp props, high-flying kicks, and martial arts, this performance is heart-pounding percussion for the whole family!  

Legendary South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela is an innovator in the world music and jazz scene. This iconic artist toured with Paul Simon and has collaborated with numerous artists including Miriam Makeba, Dizzy Gillespie, Harry Belafonte, and Herb Albert. Masekela will be performing Afro-pop, jazz, and ballads with his high-energy band of South African musicians in support of his newest album Jabulani.

The Martha Graham Dance Company brings to life a timeless and uniquely American style of dance that has influenced generations of artists. Since its founding in 1926, the troupe has employed ground-breaking techniques and unmistakable style, while continuing to create new platforms for contemporary dance. The company will be performing Prelude and Revolt and Lamentation Variations -multi-media pieces which include visuals, narration and film clips.  

Since rocketing to fame in 2003, Los Lonely Boys has sold millions of albums, won a Grammy, racked up reams of critical acclaim, opened for The Rolling Stones, and played and recorded with such legends as Willie Nelson and Carlos Santana. This Texican rock n' roll trio of brothers newest release Rockpango, features smooth harmonies, blues, rap, and rock 'n roll.

 LUMA plunges the audience into a darkened space where a tapestry of illuminated illusions fills the stage. With high and low technology the work of shadowed performers is to splash brilliant images of color and motion onto the back of the eye and plays heavily upon the persistence of vision that comes with the interplay of shadow and light. The show has been seen in 13 countries with two tours of China and taps into the universal draw that all living things have towards light. Combining rhythmic gymnastics, dance, magic, puppetry, physics and experimental methods LUMA is a singular experience that mesmerizes and mystifies leaving audiences full of wonder, slack jawed and goggle-eyed; an unforgettable evening.

What started out as an idea to entertain troops has achieved world-wide acclaim featuring a 45 member ensemble of Russia's finest dancers, singers, and musicians. Their choral repertoire includes Cossack and warrior songs, the instrumental orchestra features balalaika and bayan, and their dancing showcases high-flying kicks, mock battle scenes, glorious costumes and traditional folk dance.
