Collage w/ Kari Zigan (11-1:15 pm)  

Use found objects to create a collage.  Materials include tissue, magazine clippings, paper, paint, yarn, glue, and whatever is in your pockets to create art!  

 

Fans w/ Debra Simpson (1:45-4pm)

Personalize and design your own fan using paints, crayons, feathers, jewels and pastels.

 

Sunday, Sept. 18

  

Pop-Up Cards w/ Gitta Brewster (11-1:15pm)

Learn how to make pop-up cards with a simple animal design.  The animal can be decorated just a bit or as wildly as you wish.

  

Paper Beads w/ Erin Wells (1:45-4pm)

Learn how to make paper beads.  You will be supplied with cut paper, glue sticks, extra decorative beads and hemp cording to make necklaces, anklets or bracelets.

Climbing Wall 

 

Have the blast of a lifetime climbing Adventure Outings custom climbing wall.  At 24 feet high, this wall promises to be a challenge for young and old alike!  Let the trained Adventure Outings staff strap you in and start climbing - great fun for first timers or experienced climbers!

Science of Sound

 

Hands-on activities for kids (of all ages!)

 

Explore the science of sound with activities that investigate:

  • Why do instruments make the sounds they do? Discover how different ways of playing drums, flutes, pipes, and strings change the sounds the instruments make!
  • Join the PVC pipe band, come ready with a song to conduct!
  • Build a kazoo and impress your friends with homemade instruments that play any tune.
