Badi
Brazilian guitarist, vocalist, and percussionist Badi Assad incorporates jazz and pop into her classical guitar playing, creating "new sounds" that defy categorization. Assad's mastery and innovation on the guitar have inspired many to reexamine their notions about how the instrument is played. Opening for Assad will be a special guests, Chico's own MaMuse.

Jazz Mafia Symphony
Hip-Hop to Jazz
Friday, October 15, 2010
Jazz Mafia
Seamlessly combining Latin polyrythyms, boom-bap rhymes, melancholy ballads, swinging jazz, and blistering solos, this jazz era big band is accessible to all music lovers.  They are known for their hip-hop symphonies, where turntables and electronics mix it up with cellos and violas, and all the formality of a symphony is left at the curb.  Upbeat and inspiring.

Cirque Mechanics: Boom Town
Spectacular Acrobats
Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Cirque
Cirque Mechanics produces shows akin to the famed Cirque du Soleil. With highly skilled mime, acrobatics, contortions, gymnastic prowess and comedy they offer audiences an engrossing, exhilarating performance, performed on a set reminiscent of the old west with giant props and thrilling machinery.
