enAble's 4th Summer Wine Auction
|
 Please join us for an exciting fundraiser on Tuesday, July 31 from 7-9 PM at Dal Cuore Italian Restaurant in Johns Creek. We anticipate a wonderful turnout and are acquiring great live auction packages for you to bid on. Dal Cuore has plenty of parking, tables and air conditioning. The restaurant will provide delicious hors d'oeuvres and beverages, and bar service will be available. The net proceeds from this event will be used to enhance services to the 100+ individuals we serve. Person Served Spotlight

 Carl White is served in our Buffington Day & Employment Services program.
Over the past year, Carl has made great strides with learning new skills that will help him lead a fulfilled life. He has learned to speak the names of a few close friends and staff who work with him each day. Carl has also learned several prevocational skills that have given him the opportunity to join enAble's Soap and Bubbles Crew and get paid for a job well done. Carl is definitely a wonderful man and his efforts are an inspiration to us all.

Staff Member Spotlight

 Valerie Applewhite is our new Director of Nursing Services. Valerie has been a Registered Nurse for 11 years, during which she worked in various areas of nursing. She adds to her knowledge and expertise by holding a Master's degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. Her most recent position was as a Nursing Supervisor for the onsite clinic and residential group homes for the DeKalb Community Service Center.

New Lift Van Donation

Your donation will help provide job coaching, in home staff support, educational supplies, and so many other basic needs for those we serve such as food, medical supplies, transportation and housing. Here are some specific examples:
$25 provides one hour of job coaching or direct staff support in a home.
$125 provides a week's worth of transportation for 4 individuals to and from work, doctor appointments, worship service, the grocery store, or a volunteer event.
$175 provides a month's worth of medical supplies for one home.
$250 provides a week's worth of groceries for one home.
$550 provides a month's rent for one person who just doesn't have the funds.
