 Dear Friends,
We are excited to announce that our 24th Annual "Dare to Dream" Gala is just around the corner! Be prepared to have a fantastic time on Saturday evening, March 10 at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia (I-285 & Ashford Dunwoody Rd.). We would be honored to have you celebrate with us the lives of the 100+ individuals we serve who range in age from 16 to 93. We will pay tribute to some very special people in our community who exemplify excellence and civic engagement. Further, we will raise funds through a lively auction to help us continue to provide the best possible services to those we support.
Please read on for important information about our auction, the cost of attendance, how to sponsor, hotel accommodations, and more. We hope to see you on March 10 for what is shaping up to be our best Gala yet!

Get Ready for Our 24th Annual GALA! | |
 Auction Items: Our Auction Committee is seeking creative and fun items to add to the Gala Live and Silent auctions. Unique experiential items (e.g. beach home rentals, hot air balloon rides, breakfast or lunch with a celebrity, author or government official; tours of wineries, fire stations, museums, factories, etc.) are desired. Restaurant gift cards and tickets to concerts, sporting events, and wine tastings are among the most popular items, but the Committee welcomes all contributions. Also of interest are antiques, collectibles and vintage items.
Please complete this form if you would like to donate an item for our auctions. All items are due by Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Please direct questions or concerns to Nancy Spain, Auction Chair via e-mail or at 678-343-1526.
Seat Reservations/Sponsorship Opportunities: Reservations are $200 per person. Paper tickets are not issued. Please click here to reserve your seats online and view various sponsorship opportunities, or you may submit your requests or questions by e-mail or phone at 770-664-4347 ext. 108.
Express Checkout: Why wait in line? Consider participating in our Express Check Out service for your optimum convenience. Simply pre-register your credit card when you check in at the event, and breathe easy knowing that your checkout and item pickup process will be fast and effortless. Your credit card data will be securely held, and will be destroyed if you make no purchases.
Hotel Room Reservations: To reserve a room at the lovely Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel, you may make an online reservation, or call 770-395-7700. A special rate of $89 is available for our guests who reference the "enAble of Georgia Dare to Dream Gala" when making their reservation. |

Please join us on Tuesday, February 21 at the Ruby Tuesday at 6055 Northpoint Parkway in Alpharetta for a great meal supporting a worthy cause. We have partnered with Ruby Tuesday's Community GiveBack Program that helps local nonprofits succeed in their communities.

The individuals served at enAble's Buffington Center branch office in south Atlanta have been actively involved in the community and the Day Services center.
They had a successful summer with a garden club and grew beautiful cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers.

Bill is a lovely, friendly man who's excited to see each new day. Bill has been served by enAble since the very beginning when our first two homes - Crabapple and Holcomb Bridge - opened in 1982. He is one of the "Original Five" gentlemen who moved into Holcomb Bridge and called it home for many years. Bill now lives independently in an apartment with two roommates who share his interests and are also seniors.

On Monday, January 16, Hands On Atlanta provided 40 volunteers who chose to have a day on instead of a day off. Hands On Atlanta is the number one volunteer network for people and companies to move our communities forward. Disability Day @ Georgia's Capitol | |
Georgia's 14th Annual Disability Day is Thursday, February 16. Disability Day is sponsored by the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) and takes place on the steps of the State Capitol each year.
This important event promotes access, opportunity, and meaningful community living for Georgians who have disabilities and their families. Advocates throughout Georgia, as well as elected officials, State legislators, and everyday citizens with and without disabilities come together to make their voices heard.

Where is My Year-End Tax Receipt? | |
In an effort to be more efficient, we are no longer mailing out year-end receipts in January for charitable gifts received during the previous calendar year. enAble's Development Office sends out receipts when individual gifts arrive and shortly after each fundraising event. Therefore, mailing year-end receipts seemed a duplication of effort.
This year, we hope to send more receipts by e-mail to increase our efficiency.
If you would like to request a summary of giving during the past year, please contact us. Also, if you prefer to receive one annual receipt as opposed to individual gift receipts, we are happy to accommodate that as well. We are very grateful for every gift received. Thank you for your support! |
