22nd Annual GALA Results

Alfred and TomThe 22nd Annual GALA was held Saturday, March 6th at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia. With almost 400 guests attending, this was our largest GALA yet and the financial results made it one of our most successful ever!

We are very grateful to Frank & Terry Brown and Brown & Company Jewelers, At-PAC, InterContinental Hotels Group, and all of our sponsors, as well as the large number of family members, friends and staff who made the evening such a wonderful success.

Great Days of Service at enAble

Peachtree Rd. UMC
Alfred and Tom
Continuing an 18-year tradition, 25 volunteers from the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church rolled up their sleeves and spent a beautiful Saturday working to enhance two of enAble's homes.

Sixteen volunteers spent their day at Pine Grove applying stain to the deck, wheelchair ramp, swing, picnic table and benches. They planted lilies and 12 large azaleas, and covered the plantings with mulch. They also trimmed and thinned out the brush in front of the house.

At the Dodson Drive home in South Fulton, 9 volunteers landscaped the front yard and planted flowers. In addition to their generous contribution of time, these voluntees donated the materials they used.

Cumming UMC
Alfred and Tom
Cumming United Methodist Church also sent volunteers who landscaped the Denna Drive Home. They cleaned out the flower beds, put out pine straw, and planted flowers. Cumming United Methodist Church has been doing Great Days of Service for enAble for 6 years.

enAble is very grateful for these generous expressions of support.

Planned Giving

In the coming months, we will be announcing plans for recognizing those who have included enAble in their estate plans.  Part of this announcement will include details of some of the vehicles available to help donors provide support for enAble's mission and avoid taxes.

We will also share information on resources available to help you with your planning, because without a plan, Uncle Sam will likely determine how your hard-earned Estate should be used.

If you have already made provisions for enAble in your Will, please let us know so that we can include you among our inaugural legacy donors

Question Mark Clip ArtGifts of any amount to enAble are always appreciated. When you make your gift online, by check, or by calling us with your credit card information, you are telling those beyond enAble that we are worthy of support - this is particularly important as we increasingly seek support from corporations and foundations.

Moreover, you are telling those we serve how important they are to you.  Thank you.

 to Run
Alfred and Tom
Rena Fitterman is a long-time member of the Atlanta Track Club and every year she gears up for the AJC Peachtree Road Race.  She is so proud to finish the entire 6.2-mile course with her sister Sandi and the tens of thousands of other people who love being a part of the road race.  Rena starts preparing months in advance and her training routine consists of stretching, toning, and walking on the treadmill or at area parks to build her stamina.

Shannon Dozier is one of the newest people we are honored to serve; she joined us on Friday, March 19th when she moved into her own apartment at Legacy 218 with two other ladies we serve. Shannon and her family have dreamed that she would have opportunities for greater independence, and that is exactly what she is experiencing now! She is also working with the Soap & Bubbles cleaning crew, learning about being productive in the workplace, and making new friends.
