If you're looking for a fun way to keep up with everything going on here at BRI then join us on Facebook! We love seeing your work as well as hearing from you and know our other likers do as well.
What some people are saying about us on Facebook
Bree Franklin - I absolutely LOVE your greeting cards! After being let down by other companies to receive such a great product is a relief! The paper is nice, the images look great!
Lisa Tilley-Newman - I have to tell you, I know I recently told you that you were great - but I must tell you that your quick turnout SAVED me this week. I used the wrong images in a client album, and had to resubmit the album. Submitted files Wednesday night right before midnight, and the album was on my doorstep at 10am this morning. ...How that's even possible, I'll never know!! THANK YOU!

Info for the Palette
Skin tone brightness can make or break a good photo. Without precise monitor calibration how do you know what you are going to get back from the lab?
There are a few ways you can check skin tones in Photoshop. With your image open in Photoshop click on the info palette. If it's not open already you can find it under the window's menu at the top of your screen.
Now hover over a mid to bright area on the face. The red channel should read right around 210-230. Skin tones are make up mostly of reds so this is a great way to check for correct brightness. Photographic paper starts to blow out at around 237 in the red channel. If you are seeing values much over that they will show up as bright spots on the print and can sometime cause orange skin tones.
Keep in mind that this tip will not take the place of good monitor calibration and the use of ICC soft proofing profile. A calibrated workflow is a must in today's photographic industry.
Keep your finger on the button.
