I'm sure I'm not alone when I say... I don't like deadlines! What's worse is that when I get down to the wire and things are made more stressful because I've procrastinated! So, for those of you that are not procrastinators and for those of you who have the aspiration not to procrastinate this year (like me)... I want to touch base about the quickly approaching Christmas season so you'll know what to expect.

I know many suppliers and lab have cut-off dates but, Black River Imaging does NOT have production cut-off dates! That being said, we ask that you be sure to allow enough time for your order to be processed and shipped by the date needed. Below are some time frames to keep in mind when ordering. These are our normal turnaround times that can be expected in the midst of the busy seasons: 

As a reminder, if your order is less than 2 lbs it will be shipped via First Class Mail and this has no tracking number and is allowed up to 10 business days for delivery. Packages weighing between 2 and 5 lbs are shipped via Priority Mail and this does have a tracking number and is generally delivered within 3 business days. Orders over 5 lbs ship via UPS or Fed Ex Ground and have up to five days to deliver. Don't forget that parcel shipping does slow down the closer it gets to Christmas, specifically after Thanksgiving we see this happen. One and two day shipping is available for an additional cost. As you're shooting your current and upcoming sessions, consider offering your clients an incentive to have their order in by a specific date so that you can be ahead of that final Christmas rush and save yourself the stress of a last minute order and expedited delivery fees!
