Float Mount Sale

Sale Extended!
You can now get all our Float Mounts
at 30% off through August 4th. All sizes are included in this special offer.

To order a Float Mount it is a good idea to start with one of our Photoshop templates to prevent the wrap edges from cutting off text, faces, or other important elements. To use the Photoshop templates, simply download, open the file and select the size you want.

Once you are ready to order you will need to go into the Black River Imaging Software. Go to the Fine Art Products Catalog and select the tab with Float Mounts. You will now want to choose the folder with your properly sized image file. Next, you will need to select the size and paper type you would like for your Float Mount. The size will be located under the Float Mount tab. Then select the paper type you would like from the options palette. Select the image you want to print by simply drag and dropping it into the product opening.

Visit our website for pricing and available sizes.

What some people are saying about us on Facebook

Linda Cowan Hall -
I have people actually ASKING me for my brand-new Itty Bitty Cards after my clients were showing them around! People seem to really love the teeny-tiny size. I chose these as an alternative business card to hand out when traveling. I can easily carry about 4 times the Itty Bittys in the same space that I carried standard business cards. These are not only adorable, but very high quality, and everybody wants one. Thanks BRI!

Deanna Martin Sammons - Just wanted to say Shawn in customer service rocks! I'm stepping out of my box in August and shooting some cheerleaders and Shawn, with ease and patience helped me design the ordering envelopes! Thank you so much BRI for your great customer service!

Grateful and Giving Back

Folks, we have an amazing job. People give us money to play with fun electronic gadgets and high-powered software. If we do our job well, we receive respect and attention, and more money. Matt and I have had a lot of jobs over the course of our adult lives . . . we've done construction, banking, pizza delivery, real estate, and we've even been on stage. When I was working at a bank, no one wanted to know what I did at work, and it wasn't a point of conversation anywhere else. When I delivered a pizza on time maybe I got an extra buck, but five minutes later nobody cared-including myself. But photography is different. Good photography draws people, makes them feel, and connects them. To have a job that pay the bills and feed the family. . . that is good. . . but to spend our lives doing something we love, and then get paid for it? We are humble and grateful.

One thing that comes along with such a career is a responsibility. We have always tried to help out. We will do a free session for a friend that we know cannot afford a fee, or for a business just getting started. For 2 years in a row we have taken pictures at a banquet raising money for juvenile services. It's always been our hearts to not just make money with our cameras, but to live and give with our cameras.

At the beginning of this year we got to do just this. A friend was the chair for Autism Speaks in Southwest Missouri, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of autism, and asked us to be a part of a project called "Faces of Autism". We offered to do sessions for any family with an autistic child. The response has been wonderful; so far, we have done over 25 free sessions. We have created a gallery of beautiful children, each large picture mounted along with a bio of the child's story.

This has not been easy.  We have given hours to this project, but it is so rewarding to give without expecting anything in return. We had mothers cry-they had never had the courage to have a professional session, for fear of how the kids might act. The mothers were rightly afraid-sometimes it was not easy to get good pictures. But oh, it was worth it.

So far the project has debuted at our studio, at a local movie theatre and at a historic building in Joplin for their art walk. The response has been good. Some people have cried and some have laughed, looking into the children's faces. Some did both. There are more venues coming; the exhibit will be at a local coffee shop for a couple weeks and then at our brand new airport.

Thousands of people will see these pictures and become more aware about autism, how it affects the mind, and the staggering numbers of children affected by this disease. We have been contacted by a research company in Salt Lake City that heard about this project and wants to buy some pictures to use on their website.

The key to all of this was that we did not expect anything. We offered to take pictures of autistic kids, that's all. Not everyone has a job that gives them the opportunity to positively touch other people's lives. You do. Make the most of it.
