| Accordion Mini Books

We announced this great new product last week and now have a new larger size to add to the collection. The 4x8 Accordion Mini Book is built
to accommodate eight images by placing a single image on the left inside
with a seven panel accordion pullout on the right. We also give you
the choice to include panoramic images across each panel for a
uniquely wide display.
These books come in a smooth photo cover or a variety of fabrics. You may choose each of our four paper types including standard, art, linen or pearl. A matte coating is included to enhance durability.
A few suggested uses include senior portraits, baby announcement, attendant's gifts, engagement book and grandchildren photos. Click here for more information and pricing.

5 Ways to Reconnect with the Heart of the Artist
Most photographers probably got into photography for the sheer art of it all. As time goes on, they quickly find that the creative and fun side of the business doesn't always bring in the income needed to make a full-time living. The art is quickly replaced by business, and creativity is usually replaced by lucrative but humdrum fields of photography such as schools and sports. This not only produces creative dry-spells but can also drain the passion from what was once an enjoyable pursuit.
Here are a few steps to help recapture the wonder:
Regroup-Truly understand how you are wired: What moves you and what are you passionate about? What attracted you to the filed of photography in the first place? Flicking through a photography magazine, what images capture your imagination? Check out self-analysis sites like http://www.motivationaldna.com to see if you are on the right path. It may be that you feel stuck taking profitable photos to pay the bills but you really love nature or creative photography. Keep yourself fired-up for the long haul by setting aside time to stretch creativity. Shooting for fun or for competition may not pay bills, but it helps remind us what we love about photography.
Renew-Grow in excellence in your craft even when you feel you've made it or hit your ceiling: Learning is a life-long process. Don't be too proud to admit you have room to grow in your skills. Even the most trained and tested artists can improve in one way or another. If you spend the majority of your time photographing schools, challenge yourself to find ways to add you own creative flair to set you apart from the competition-aim to produce a product that exceeds your clients expectations of what the genre can offer.
Relay the Passion-Don't let the legacy end with you: Find a way to pass on the torch. Some people are too concerned that someone is going to become more skilled and get ahead of them if they share their knowledge. Teaching and mentoring opportunities will often help rekindle a love for the craft by helping others on a journey of discovery. You may also get to see your own work from a different perspective.
Retain Boundaries-Try to keep work at work and keep home for home: How many people have you seen or heard carrying on business on their cell phones even in bathrooms? You have to establish boundaries for your work life if you are to continue to enjoy it.
Rest- We are tragically losing our sacred spaces. Turn down the noise and find places of quiet and solitude without e-pollution. Be a good steward of your mind and body and realize they need a break from over commitment. Don't feel guilty if you don't pick up a camera for a day!
