| NEW Sizes and DVD Tray for Photo Boxes

Photo Boxes just got better! First, we now have two new orientations: 5x7 and 4x6 (hinged on the long side) to better accommodate vertical images. Second, we now give you the option to add a DVD tray to the inside lid of your Photo Box. This option is available in 7x5 and 5x7 boxes only.
Press Printed Photo Boxes make a great way to present prints or simply use as a custom keepsake box. These boxes come in smooth and canvas photo covers, two sizes and hold 100, 250 or 400 prints. Each box is wrapped in your design and has a black ribbon inside for easy access to photos.
Photo Boxes are available in the Black River Imaging Software in the Press Products catalog. If you need to know the exact alignments for text placement we highly recommend downloading our Photoshop templates located on our website. You'll find them by clicking on The Learning Center link.

Improved Itty Bitty Cards
can now have multiple designs per single set.
Everyone loves these little half-sized cards for all sorts of reasons. Now there's one more HUGE reason to love them.
We're letting you order a set of 40 Itty Bitty Cards with up to 10 different images on the front to go along with one standard image on the back. Our software will now show 10 openings and we will print four of each image. It's like getting ten sets of four cards each. That way you can customize these cards to include multiple images from one session on a single order or personalize just a few for different clients.
Choose between Standard, Linen, Art (Watercolor) or Pearl for that perfect finish. These are available in sets of 40 cards and cut to 2.75" x 1.125". Use our Photoshop templates found in The Learning Center if a specific edge alignment is necessary.
Visit our website for prices of our entire line of press specialty cards. |

The Senior Vision
One of the questions I am asked the most by my clients is, "Where are we going?" When I answer I usually get some raised eyebrows. Typically, I don't know. I look for light first and location second. However, the client knows that we will not be shooting on a solid backdrop and expect something different. That is what I call my first point of sale. For weeks I have been manipulating my client's vision to meet my expectations. I do this by placing the images I expect to shoot and sell on my website. My website and online presence is my first point of sale. If they do not like what they see then they are not my target client.
It took me a while to realize that I am not the right photographer for every client. Once you decide that what you do is an art form, not just a way to make a living, then you will seek out clients who are sold on your vision as a professional photographer.
The first step of selling your vision is only posting or showcasing what you intend to shoot. Of course we all have those families that show up in khakis and white polos. We smile and let them know they look fabulous, but I recommend not posting that on your social networking or websites unless you want to sell that to prospective clients. Clients will buy what you show them.
Here's a perfect example. Last week I shot a senior in the water. I had always had the vision to do a water shoot but never had a willing client. I discussed this idea with her, shot the image and posted it to my website and social networking sights. Within the five days that followed I shot 4 more high school seniors in the water because I had pre-sold that vision to them.
I cannot possibly expect my clients to agree to have their session shot in front of a junk store or an abandoned hotel if I have not pre-wired them to accept the images on my website as fitting for their lifestyles.
I live in a very small town of 1600, a very traditional backdrop, styrofoam number photography believing clients. Everyone told me what I wanted to do could not be done. However, I shot for myself, with my vision. Within two years my business has quadrupled, averaging 4 sessions per week and $1000 per senior sale.
Having confidence in what I shoot and confidence in the fact that my clients are seeking out my vision is what I attribute to my success this far. You must have confidence in your art so your clients can leave any ideas they may have at home and trust you as their artist.
