Printed Photo Books just got more exciting. We are now adding 12 new fabrics,
including two Japanese Silks, for more great options.
Fabric
covers are becoming a hot item in the industry. Unique textures and soft colors bring a look and feel to your Photo Books that will
help you stand out.
Swatches are a great way to let your client choose their favorite color or material type. Swatch rings of all 19 materials are available for a small fee. Orders for swatch kits can be made in our ordering software.

With so many companies offering press printed services one has to find ways to distinguish a difference and weigh that against its value. We are introducing 6-color printing as an option for nearly all press printed products we offer. Let this printing method give you an edge over your competitors.
6-color printing does not enhance every image. You will see the biggest difference in how much smoother the gradation appears on skin tones, shadow areas and blue skies. The wider spectrum of colors and tighter printing pattern are just enough to give your images that edge.

THE PROGRAM!
Black River Imaging offers two different and simple
ways to order from our wide variety of exciting sports products. But which
program is right for you? Here are a few pointers to help you choose the right
system for your specific ordering needs.
WHAT'S YOUR PLATFORM? -
SportsPix is written for the most common operating system, Microsoft Windows. Mac users wishing to run SportsPix will need an Intel-based machine running OS X
v10.5 Leopard or v10.6 Snow Leopard, and use either Boot Camp or Parallels
Desktop with Windows XP or Vista installed. The Sports Design Software (SDS) is
a ROES-based system that utilizes Java, allowing it to be used by both PC and
Mac users.
WHAT'S YOUR VOLUME? - If you are shooting a large number of
individuals for a league or school team, the fast data entry flow of SportsPix
is ideal. While you can still enter large jobs through SDS, you will be working
on each product for each frame one-by-one, and will not be able to order by
packages as with SportsPix.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE? - While SportsPix still
allows you to choose from our wide range of designs, some elements can not be
changed such as font style. Using SDS allows the user to have greater control
over design elements such as fill and stroke color and font style. In addition
to this, SDS users can also drop in their own designs for products such as
traders and magnets to open up endless design possibilities.
WHAT'S YOUR
PACKAGE OPTION? - SportsPix gives the photographer the advantage of creating
packages that contain multiple items which can then be ordered with a couple of
mouse clicks. SportsPix orders also come back packaged in 8x10 windowed
envelopes, each containing a 4x5 ID card showing the products ordered for that
player, along with any prints up to 8x10 in size (bulky items such as buttons,
traders and magnets will be packaged separately). With SDS, all prints will be
shrink-wrapped to a cardboard flat by size.
MIX IT UP! - Finally, don't
forget you can always choose to order from both programs at the same time! Many
photographers will choose to order the bulk of their packages through SportsPix
for easy data entry and convenient packaging; and then order specialty items
such as traders through SDS, in order to customize these products with a little
added flair.
