We would like to congratulate all of our winners in the WPPI contest. We're looking forward to seeing many old and new friends in Vegas this year.
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of WPPI and we're honored to help them celebrate many years of success. If you're already planning on going then make sure to stop by and see us. Black River Imaging is the main sponsor for this year's Party by the Pool. There will be lots of entertainment, dancing, hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. The event is scheduled for Monday, March 8th from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the MGM Convention Center.

Time Is Money...
I know few people who have time to waste. When you work for yourself
let's face it, time is money. Here are a few time saving tips to help
you and ROES work faster and more efficiently.
In
ROES when you choose the folder of images with which you wish to work,
avoid having to wait to load superfluous images by culling them from
the working folder before you begin.
On the "Preferences"
screen the first checkbox tells ROES to load images in any subfolders
within the working folder as well as the images in the working folder.
Unchecking this option gives you more control over what images load.
Sports
Design customers can save themselves lots of time by using the "Hold"
buttons below the design area to hold crops, images, quantity, and
options between products. For example if you have several sets of Pro
Trading Cards to order for several members of the same team you can
click the "Hold Options" button and choose the background, image, and
font options for the first set and from there just change out the image
as each set is added to the order.
A word about PC performance and maintenance:
As with any software it runs better when your computer is running at top performance levels.
- Be
sure to keep your computer clean of unnecessary clutter by backing your
images up to disk or other removable media and remove them from your
hard drive once you finish working with them.
- Protect
your PC with anti-virus, anti-spyware, and a good firewall, all of
which can be found for free on the Internet. Virus and Spyware scans
should be performed daily.
- Use the Disk Clean-Up and Defragmenting utilities weekly.
- And a yearly check-up with your local Geek Squad can help to keep your PC in tiptop shape.
