Here at Mahalko Family Chiropractic we are now renovating and growing our office space.

We will be expanding our changing rooms to better accommodate patients with mobility equipment and families getting adjusted.  Our waiting room is also expanding to improve our cramped-at-times waiting room space due to loyal patients like you.

We appreciate your patience while we grow for the future.  With added space, look for more exciting improvements in service to come.

Hype in the Media

FDA Approved?
breast cancer survivor

It seems that there is more and more confusion among consumers and well meaning doctors and pharmacists on whether nutritional supplements are "FDA Approved" or not.

For supplements, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviews them as folllows:  Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA), the dietary supplement manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that a dietary supplement is safe before it is marketed.  Truth in labelling applies.  Nutritional supplements are not FDA approved to treat disease as a drug would be.

You can be assured that all of nutritional supplements we advise are FDA approved.  When we advise on nutritional supplements, we are not thinking of using them as drugs and neither should you.  Good supplements are just good food that help your body to heal and function at its best potential.

Certain supplements are contraindicated for certain health conditions and should not be used in combination with certain drugs.  This is why we ask about your health history, so please make sure we are informed about any health conditions you have and any medications you are taking so we can ensure you are taking products in a safe and beneficial manner.
