How to sustain your energy thoughout your workout |
Have More Energy For Your Workouts
Ever feel like working out but don't have enough energy to get the job done?
If you are carb-loading before your workout, perhaps you find that you do not have enough energy to finish what you started. A reason for this is that carbohydrates turn to sugar once they enter the bloodstream. Short-term they provide energy but are burned quickly. If you continue to exercise, your body starts to break down protein (muscle) to give it what it needs to continue on.
A much better source of long-term energy for the body is coconut oil. Coconut oil is made up of medium chain fatty acids, which give the body a boost of energy. Take 1-2 tbsp before you workout to provide your body with a great source of energy. Coconut oil is also a great oil to use in all of your cooking and baking recipes. If you are looking to lose weight, take 1 tbsp before each meal to help increase your metabolism. You can take the oil straight, mix it with tea or a smoothie...or however you desire. Taking coconut oil helps you to feel satiated (full) so that you are less likely to overeat.
Buyer beware: not all coconut oil is created equally. We like Wilderness Family Naturals coconut oil. If your coconut oil is yellow-colored, it is most likely hot pressed (stripped with nasty chemicals). Do NOT use this kind! The oil should be nice and white at cooler temperatures and clear in warmer temperatures.
