| Ruling Engines |
With three ruling engines in a controlled environment, Optometrics can rule gratings and polarizers with groove spacings from 100 - 1500 grooves per mm. Gratings are ruled for our replication facilities but also for sale as originals, usually for high-powered applications. Originals can be ruled directly in gold on invar or ceramic or in aluminum on metal or glass substrates. Polarizers can be ruled on ZnSe and CaF2. Back to the top |
| Holographic Laboratories |
Two well equipped holographic laboratories support both routine production and new master grating development. Capabilities permit groove spacings of 100 - 2700 grooves per mm, largely optimized for the UV. Routine production includes holographic wire grid polarizers (on ZnSe, CaF2, BaF2, KRS-5 and Germaniumn), beamsplitters and plano and certain concave holographic gratings.

| Replication Facilities |
For nearly forty years, Optometrics has been producing both ruled and holographic replicated gratings for OEM customers and distributors in the Photonics space and beyond. Due to significant growth, we have recently doubled our replication coating capabilities and added significant new testing capabilities. Replication was our first major department to launch kanban stocking arrangments for OEM customers and offers higher level grating assembly services to minimize alignment and handling issues at customers' sites. Many customers even choose to have a grating replicated directly on their mount for an even more robust grating assembly.
