1937-40 Chevy 216 Pistons
The E293 is a flat skirt piston with a lateral oil groove in the skirt and a dome top. The bore size is 3.500" with a max oversize of .080 over. The compression height is 2.25" with a ratio of 6.25:1. The pin diameter is .865" and sits in a strutted pin boss. The three-ring set-up is 2 compression rings at 5/64" and the oil ring at 3/16".

The compression height is 2.0625" with a ration of 6.75:1, and pin diameter of .865". The three-ring set-up is 2 compression rings at 5/64" and the oil ring at 3/16".

Chevy 216/235 Gasket Sets
Egge Machine Company offers the full-line of Best Gasket sets for nostalgic motors including the Chevy 216 and 235. Sets include all gaskets and seals for your motor rebuild project. For the 216 and 235 the set has a copper head gasket with two outer sheets of thick .010" copper and a low-density graphite "filler" sheet. Excellent torque retention is achieved by using a graphite filler sheet rather than the standard asbestos or modern asbestos replacements.
