Pontiac 326 V-8 and the Olds 350 and 425 V-8'sEgge Machine and Speed Shop

- March 2009  - Egge Machine and Speed Shop is announcing the new release of our pistons for the Oldsmobile 350, 425 and the Pontiac 326. These pistons are cast using A-332 aluminum. We offer the pistons from standard bore, .020, .030, .040, .060 over size with a wrist pin diameter of .980 inches.

The 326 was a shorter stroked 389. Top it off with a 4 bbl carb for a higher compression motor to the 2 bbl 326.  This little monster was offered in the Tempest and an optional HO V-8 for Lemans. In 1967 it was a high compression option on the new Firebird with overhead valves, and hydraulic lifters.

The double almond valve pockets on the piston heads are cut sharp to grip the burst and minimize "pocket turbulence" in the combustion chamber. Details like this are great examples showing the complexities of Egge's steel hydraulic molds.

The "High Deck" 425 is a bored and stroked 330. Egge Machine Company offers two piston options for this motor: the 9.0:1 compression ratio and the 10.25:1 compression ratio. The 9.0:1 compression ratio motor was used to power the de-tuned Dynamic 88, and Delta 88 at 300 hp and 430 lbs of torque.

The "High Deck" 425 is a bored and stroked 330. Egge Machine Company offers two piston options for this motor: the 9.0:1 compression ratio and the 10.25:1 compression ratio. The 10.25:1 comp ratio motor was used to propel the Dynamic 88, Delta 88's, F-85 Cutlass, Jetstar 88,  98, and Delmont 88 boulevard cruisers with 365 hp, and slamming you back in the seat with 450 lbs/ft of torque.

The Olds 350 is a bored out 330. Add a 4 barrrel carb and your looking at 310 hp out the gate. Weighing in at 560 pounds this was Oldsmobiles' "Small block". Standard in the Cutlasses, Delmont 88, and Vista Cruiser Land Yachts.

L2321 - 1968-71 Olds 330 V-8, 10.25:1 comp. ratio, 1.609 comp. ht, bore 4.057, 310 hp, 390 lbs-ft of torque.
