So You Need Temporary or Emergency Perfusion Services?
by Ralph E. Jordan, Trident Health Resources, Inc. CEO & President
|
Locum tenens is taken from a Latin phrase meaning "to hold the place of."
It makes good sense to have a back-up plan when you're managing an open heart program. It may help just knowing you can call someone reliable for help when you need it most. Trident Health Resources, Inc. provides perfusion staffing services to hospitals across the nation on both a long-term and locum tenens basis. One of the things we're best at is being able to act immediately in emergent situations. Our exceptional reputation and leadership in the field for 22 years has been built on our patient-first approach philosophy. Our perfusionists are all certified, experienced, and ready for immediate credentialing and placement in hospitals in virtually every U.S. city.
The locum tenens part of our business benefits both perfusionists who serve in a traveling capacity, and open heart programs. Perfusionists may be placed by Trident in short-term assignments to travel for any number of reasons, from fulfilling a staff shortage to covering a permanent hospital staff/perfusionist's vacation leave. Open heart programs benefit from locum tenens contracts by covering gaps in patient care during periods of growth, change, or staff shortages. Our industry continues to grow as more perfusionists choose this way of practicing their profession and hospitals discover the value of locum tenens staffing.
Trident continues to expand and always seek highly qualified perfusionists to work with us. Trident employees receive comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, life and disability insurance, and 401k retirement benefits. Applicants can apply online at www.tridenthealth.com. Trident also continues to seek growth of the company through acquiring new long-term accounts and locum tenens contracts. We invite hospitals to compare our services by receiving a no obligation quote for our services online (click here) or request information at the Contact Us page of our website. Remember: Trident has an unconditional guarantee that the value of our services will beat any competitor's bid. See our Guarantee (click here).
When the unexpected happens and you need locum tenens, call Trident. We take great care in handling your perfusion services needs efficiently and professionally...
Trident's 10 Step Locum Tenens Process.
1. Initial Contact. Trident offers 24 hour a day/365 days per year access through its toll-free phone number (800) 888-8408 or email/online contact form (click here). A needs assessment is made to ensure that we fulfill your request to specifications needed.
2. Paperwork. We work with you on defining the scope of the project. We identify the staff resources you'll need based on understanding of your situation. We'll prepare a packet for hospital records which includes assigned perfusionist's CV, copies of diplomas, licenses and certificates, a reference list, and a detailed record of work during the past 10 years. We provide all the information that will make the paperwork associated with the assignment complete, to ensure the locum tenens assignment is quickly and easily made.
3. Assignment. Trident perfusionists are contacted about the opportunity and informed about the nature of the case(s) and assignment . We make sure that proper introductions are made between all those who will be working together. Trident may have a telephone interview with an administrator, medical director, or division chief at the hospital to negotiate fulfillment of wants and needs.
5. Credentialing. Once the agreement is made for a locum tenens placement, Trident works to make the credentialing process painless. We provide any necessary paperwork promptly to avoid delays in starting an engagement and to help the hospital meet its compliance requirements.
6. Logistics. From an administrative angle, Trident will handle all travel arrangements with the hospital's role outlined with flexibility to the needs of the case(s). We'll clarify which of the expenses will be direct billed, what is reimbursed, and what items are not covered.
7. Orientation. When our perfusionists arrive at a new location, it is essential they receive an orientation. This may be formal or informal, lasting a couple of hours or a full day, depending on the facility. We will make some recommendation if the facility does not provide orientation, such as to arrange a meeting among key players (program manager, medical director, head nurses) on the perfusionist's first day.
8. Practice. As locum tenens perfusionists working for Trident, our staff are filling a critical need and will be expected to hit the ground running. Our employees are trained to be adaptable and cognizant that they are there to serve the needs of the facility, not to change its policies and procedures.
9. Billing. Trident provides itemized invoicing and will work with your billing department to answer any questions.
10. Follow-up. Client satisfaction is important to Trident. We will follow up with you after the assignment is complete to review how things went. It is our hope that we have established a long-term relationship with you for future or long-term perfusion services.
All this is usually accomplished within a 4-8 hour period, once we receive your call. In the majority of situations, we have a perfusionist at your location within 24 hours. This is something that separates from everyone else in the industry and we have been doing this successfully for 22 years.
If you need perfusion staffing we respond within 24 hours. Call us TODAY.
