First, we want to say thank you to all of you for your concern for us and our family over the past few weeks.  We are grateful for your prayers, cards, notes, phone messages, emails and texts as we had to unexpectedly travel to Wisconsin and say goodbye to Jeff's dad.  It was a very sad time and our hearts still lay heavy with grief; but we are so thankful for God's mercy and grace upon us and upon him in his passing.
 
This Thanksgiving month is certainly bittersweet for us as we reflect upon those so dear to us that we have lost this year...Vickie's grandmother and Jeff's dad.  We have lots of memories to last us a lifetime and for that we do give great thanks.
 
We're also thankful for each of you and what you have come to mean to us over the years.  We so appreciate you, our loyal customers, who we also consider friends.  We, indeed, are blessed!
 
Even among the sorrow, we are excited about upcoming events here at the Gallery. We hope you will join us for the fun and festivities, which will soon be upon us. Please read on below and mark your calendars for upcoming dates you DO NOT want to miss!!

We're teaming up again this year and adding another business to the mix (Tinsley-Bible) as we bring you a spectacular weekend of shopping, food, fun activities and special guests.

 

It's going to be an extra special time as we celebrate this most joyous season of the year with you...

Christmas to Remember  

Friday Evening At A Glance:

(November 18th)

 

Begin at The Red Door Gallery for the unveiling of a new painting of Dandridge by local artist, Kay Alexander. (6:15 p.m.)

 

Make your way down to Thomas Tavern for a book-signing with Bill Landry (host of The Heartland Series) featuring his newest book, "Appalachian Tales & Heartland Adventures."  Thomas Tavern will also be serving delicious appetizers for the evening.

 

Then, it's a visit with Wice Flower Shop, where you'll get the opportunity to hear about a wonderful program called "Christmas In Jefferson County."  And there, you'll enjoy a fresh garden salad.

 

Tinsley-Bible Drug Store is next, where they will have their famous fountain open for a delicious bowl of soup or chili.  There, you'll notice the "Be A Santa To A Senior" gift tree.  Tinsley-Bible is celebrating their  100th Christmas.  What better way to celebrate than to give back to others!

 

Finally, finish the evening where you started.  The Red Door Gallery will be serving a delectable array of desserts, along with hot coffee and cider.

(November 19th)

 

This will be a day packed full of fun as you learn some fresh ideas for decorating and giving and you'll take home lots of Holiday tips too!

 

Begin your morning with coffee, juice and pastries at Thomas Tavern at 10:00 a.m.

 

While at Thomas Tavern, you'll learn all about gift-basket making.  Turn an ordinary gift into something extraordinary!

 

Then, it's down the street to Wice Flower Shop where you'll see a demonstration on how to make the perfect bow to adorn your holiday packages and home decor.

 

Next, it's on to The Red Door Gallery where you'll discover the art of unique gift wrapping.  Make the presentation part of the present!

 

Finally, at Tinsley-Bible you'll see (and taste) examples of "gift-giving in a jar."  (The perfect heart-felt gift for those you wish to remember this year.)  Take home a complimentary recipe packet.  Register for a fun give-away too!

It's time to start making preparations for the upcoming Holiday Season!   Wouldn't it be great to set a goal and have at least half of your gift-buying completed before Thanksgiving?

 

 I know, I know some of you are traditionallly last-minute thinkers and shoppers, but just imagine how relaxed you could make your Holiday Season just by planning a little bit earlier!

 

If this sounds great to you, we are here to help!  Below are just some of the ways we can make your shopping experience more enjoyable this year:

 

  • Wish-List Program - Fill one out for yourself and/or have a loved-one fill out their list. (makes things really simple!)
  • Easy Plan - Purchase custom framing/artwork by paying half down and follow a scheduled payment plan. (Paid in full by December 23rd)
  • No Snooping - We'll hold any purchased item until Friday, December 23rd, so your snooping gift-recipient will not have the opportunity to find any packages.
  • Gift-Wrapping - We'll gladly gift-wrap any item purchased in our gallery for FREE!  Ok, men, now you just have no excuses!!
  • 2012 Buck$ - Purchases over $100 in November and December will receive reward bucks to be used in January of 2012.  (check in store for full details)

Be A Santa To A Senior
Our friends at Tinsely-Bible Drug Store are sponsoring an amazing opportunity to help create a special Christmas for a senior citizen.  You can visit Tinsley-Bible Drugs to pick up a wish tag from their gift tree. All you need to do is return the purchased item unwrapped to the store and Home Instead Senior Services will wrap and deliver the gift to a local senior in need.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in making a special senior citizen feel special and remembered.  
The gift tree will be on display from November 4th through November 23rd.  And for those of you who might be out of town and can't come by to pick a special senior's wish tag from the tree, call me and I'll be happy to go over and pick one for you! 
Please return all gifts (unwrapped) to the store prior to November 30th.
