Downtown Flashback
Detroit and Windsor Ferry Company, postmarked August 18, 1928. The main entrance to the docks was located at the foot of Ouellette Avenue, now Dieppe Park. Prior to 1870, the one-way fare across the river was a flat 10 cents, but dropped to 5 cents when Windsor's town council enacted a by-law on June 15, 1874. There were several exceptions, including the ferry "Favourite," offering a reduced rate of 3 cents, and the "Mohawk" that slashed the cross-border boat ride to a rock-bottom price of only 1 cent.

The Secret in their Eyes Capitol Theatre & Arts Centre 121 University Ave. Thursday, July 8th 6:30 PM
Newly retired from his career in Argentina's criminal court, Benjamín Espósito (Ricardo Darín) begins writing a novel about a case from his past that continues to haunt him. Tracking down the suspect becomes a personal obsession that draws him and his colleagues into ever-riskier situations. Despite their dedication, however, inept officials and politics both internal and external to the court threaten to let justice slip away. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film 2010.
Exit Through the Gift Shop Capitol Theatre & Arts Centre Thursday, July 8th 9:15 PM
The debut film by renowned graffiti artist Banksy, a graffiti artist with a global reputation, whose work can be seen on walls from post-hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier on the Palestinian West Bank. Fiercely guarding his anonymity to avoid prosecution, Banksy has so far resisted all attempts to be captured on film. Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the incredible true story of how an eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner - with spectacular results.
