Downtown Flashback
The second YMCA-YWCA facility in Windsor opened in 1926 on Pelissier Street at Maiden Lane. Both male and female associations shared the front offices, cafeteria, swimming pool and gymnasium, yet the building featured extensive segregated dormitory accommodations. The building is currently owned by a developer who converted it into loft apartments. Postmarked December 27th, 1931, the caption states "...one of the most attractive YM-YWCA buildings in Canada."
