The Windsor International Film Festival in partnership with the Windsor Pride Community presents 'A Single Man', based on the novel of the same name by Christopher Isherwood. Set in Los Angeles in 1962, at the height of the Cuban missile crisis, it is the story of a British college professor (Colin Firth) who is struggling to find meaning to his life after the death of his long time partner. The story is a romantic tale of love interrupted, the isolation that is an inherent part of the human condition, and ultimately the importance of the seemingly smaller moments in life.  Tickets are $10.00.

This event offers the public an opportunity to learn more about the exciting part-time opportunities available at Canada's Naval Reserve.   This organization has hired approx. 200 people ranging in age from 16 to 56, from all walks of life.  Ideal for students and seasonal workers, the Naval Reserve asks for a commitment of one night a week during the year and 2 months of training during the summer.  Training is paid and no experience is required.  They also offer tuition reimbursement of up to $2000.00/year over 4 years for post-secondary students.
