Downtown Flashback
The Detroit-Windsor tunnel, located in downtown Windsor, was
the first underwater international vehicular tunnel in the world when it was
completed in 1930. It has been recognized as one
of the world's great engineering wonders and remains one of the
busiest crossings between Canada and the United States.

A Single Man

The Windsor International Film Festival in partnership
with the Windsor Pride Community presents 'A Single Man', based on the novel of
the same name by Christopher Isherwood. Set in Los Angeles in 1962, at the
height of the Cuban missile crisis, it is the story of a British college
professor (Colin Firth) who is struggling to find meaning to his life after the
death of his long time partner. The story is a romantic tale of love
interrupted, the isolation that is an inherent part of the human condition, and
ultimately the importance of the seemingly smaller moments in life. Tickets are
$10.00.

Oscar Night Viewing Party

International Film Festival's (WIFF) and Windsor Pride Community's (WPC) Oscar

seasonal workers, the Naval Reserve asks for a commitment of one night a week during the
year and 2 months of training during the summer. Training is paid and no experience is required. They also offer tuition
