Gabriel Serafini presented two workshops; one on the topic of creating and using websites, and the other on social media tools to express our love for Christian Science with our field and the world.  He encouraged the participants to take responsibility for sharing their knowledge of Christian Science and how it impacts their daily lives.  Picture 1,000 individual websites and expressions of why and how Christian Science is effective -- this is the vision that Gabriel shared with the group.

Website Building Resources

 

Option A) Create your own website (takes time, energy and enthusiasm).

 

Benefits: Can be low cost or even free, youʼll learn quite a lot about building websites yourself

Gotchas: Many people donʼt want to spend all their spare time learning how to build websites

 Best source of information on how to learn HTML: http://Google.com "HTML tutorial"

 

Option B) Have someone else help you

 

Benefits: A skilled web designer can help you get exactly the look and feel you want. High likelihood of successfully completing and launching the site. Experienced help in learning how to promote your site.

Gotchas: Costs money, and you still need to put in a significant amount of time coming up with the content you want to share. Thereʼs no "silver bullet" that will do all the work for you. Depending on who you choose to work with there may be communication difficulties.
