| Greetings! |
As the marvelous days of summer roll on, we continue the focus on the "renewed" thought that is being expressed in the world of Christian Science nursing. We put out requests for reports on new ideas and/or changes being put into practice in facilities and field work. The responses are inspired. Won't you take a moment and tell us what's happening in your experience that would be innovative and fresh for others to read about? We would love to hear from you and share with our subscribers any novel ideas you are demonstrating as a Christian Science nurse, facility, or service.
This issue includes reports from The Village in Springdale, AK, Wellspring in Apopka, FL, and from a private duty Christian Science nurse who also works at Harmony at Home Foundation in Naperville, IL. Enjoy!

I love the continuous discovery of Christian Science practice. When searching out the next step, I can always look over my experience and ask myself, "Was any of this my own idea?" And the answer is always," No! It was God's!"
When I first started Christian Science nurses' training, a simple thought was shared with me about care being God's infinite loving outreach. This resonated with me since God's care had found me and awakened me to the light of Christian Science. I saw that ...Read More |
Ministry at The Village

Nestled among the Ozark mountains in Northwest Arkansas is a Christian Science nursing facility that is full of promise! The Village, Inc. is a beautiful community that offers all levels of care ranging from duplexes for independent living, to a sheltered care wing, to a complete Christian Science nursing facility. Although the focus here is on retirement living, Christian Science nursing is an integral part of The Village.
I came to The Village a little over a year ago after working in a home Christian Science nursing setting for six years. Although I had received my training at a Christian Science nursing facility, I really enjoyed the more relaxed home setting at my previous job. I saw that ...Read More

And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay... When Jesus saw their faith, he said ... " (Mark 2:2-5)
Wellsprings of Florida, Inc. has been in operation since December 2006. It was the faith of the Executive Boards of two organizations "uncovering the roof" that brought forth the merging of Morningside, Inc. and The Summit, Inc. in Apopka, ten miles northwest of Orlando.
