The workshop opened with a verse from that week's Bible Lesson; "Days should

speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding." (Job 32:7 Days, 8)
Esther commented that this Bible verse had indicated to her that although we are taught a specific way of doing a bandaging turn, we should adapt it to the need of the patient we are working with at the time we are working, rather than being rigid and insisting that the bandaging turn be done exactly as it was taught in training.
She then read the well know statement from Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896 by Mary Baker Eddy; "No evidence before the material senses can close my eyes to the scientific proof that God, good is supreme." (277:23-24)
A PowerPoint presentation was made that covered the following:
· Qualities expressed when bandaging.
· Why we bandage: Four primary reasons were listed.
· Types of bandages: Five types were listed and related to why we bandage.
· Basic bandaging turns: Seven basic turns were listed and their possible use.
· General rules of bandaging: General rules to be considered when bandaging were discussed.
· Applied bandaging turns: Specific bandaging turns were illustrated.
After a time of sharing with each other regarding experiences and a question and answer period, the workshop attendees divided into two groups and practiced actual bandaging turns.
