We're a Team!

Marriage You Always Wanted - click here

This week, I have been talking about who will do what in a marriage?  Someone has to cook, mop, dust, cut grass, and drive the kids to piano lessons.  Will it be the husband or the wife?

The best way I know to decide is to see yourself as a team.  Team members don't do the same thing, but they have the same objective - to win.

So, in a marriage we each do different things but our objective is to process life together.

Usually one is better than another when it comes to cooking.  One may be more mechanical, or more organized.  Why not organize life in keeping with your strengths?  But what if neither of you is good at washing the dog?  Then take turns until one of you says, "I know you don't like to do this, and I really don't mind, so I'll wash the dog from now on."   Now that's a decision based on love.

Teaming up together with an attitude of love is the best way I know to have a growing marriage.

It makes life easier when you view your marriage as a team.
