Seeking God in the Hardest of Times by Dr. Gary Chapman
Your spouse may have abandoned you, but God has not!
When a spouse moves out, we often feel that God has also abandoned us. That is never the case. Jesus said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." Your relationship with God is your greatest source of help when you walk through the valley of marital separation. Therefore, make time daily to sit down and listen to God and talk to God.
God's clearest voice is found in the Bible. So, why not make time to read a chapter in the Bible every day and listen to what God is saying. I find it helpful to underline the statements that seem important to me. Then I go back and talk to God about what I underlined. It is like having a conversation with God every day.
Nothing could be more important as you walk through the pain of marital separation.
You desperately need to hear God's Word.
Otherwise you are left to your own wisdom which is often counter-productive. You may want to begin with the book of Philippians, written by a man who was also going through a very difficult time.
